Epic ran their third ever Solo Showdown limited time mode, last week. For anyone that missed it or doesn’t really know what it means – Solo Showdown LTM is a solo game which, over a 25 game period, tallies your total score based on a combination of placement and kills.
This score is then added to a leader board for the player’s respective region – with the possibility of the top 100 winning up to 50,000 V-Bucks and the possible chance of being entered into Epic’s summer skirmish tournaments which have a prize pool of sometimes as high as a million dollars!
However, this also brings in the incentive to CHEAT. Up until now, it’s been pretty difficult to find concrete proof of a
top finishing player in solo showdown, actually cheating.
The video below shows a Twitch streamer, ZEKO, live streaming one of his Solo Showdown matches. As you will see, he lands in Tilted and has no problem leaving there with 18 very easy kills.
His blatant cheating this isn’t something that’s up for debate, this isn’t a ‘maybe he’s teaming with this guy, maybe these two or three guys gave him free kills’, this is basically a two minute long clip of him inside Tilted Towers, killing approximately 18 people with their pickaxes out. If that wasn’t obvious enough, a lot of these guys drop him shields before he kills them, some dance before he kills them, they straight-up stare at him for 5 to 10 seconds before he kills them and he even has the nerve to like laugh hysterically throughout a large majority of this clip.
To make things worse, this cheating allowed ZEKO to finish 3th place in his region, Brazil. This means that he will walk away with 25,000 V-Bucks.
